Environmental Science Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 3 and 4*
Our Environmental Science Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 3 and Unit 4.
Students are not permitted to order these tasks.
The Environmental Science Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.
TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are prepared for schools to target the key areas of assessment within the Environmental Science Study Design. These tasks provide schools with an invaluable resource for assessing the coursework component of the Environmental Science course. All tasks are supplied with full solutions.
Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) for Environmental Science have been prepared for both Units 3 and 4. The following packages are available to schools:
Unit 3 Package includes 6 tasks -
Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Three options included):

Presentation of recommendations using evidence-based decision-making including analysis and evaluation of primary data

Designed or practical response to a real or theoretical environmental issue or challenge

Analysis and evaluation of a case study, secondary data or a media communication, with reference to sustainability principles and stakeholder perspectives
Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Three options included):

Application of Earth systems thinking in the evaluation of a response to an environmental scenario, case study, issue or challenge

Designed or practical response to a real or theoretical environmental issue or challenge

Analysis and evaluation of a case study, secondary data or a media communication, with reference to sustainability principles and stakeholder perspectives
Unit 4 Package includes 7 tasks -
Outcome 1 For Area of Study 1 (Three options included):

Designed or practical response to a real or theoretical environmental issue or challenge

Outcome 3 for Area of Study 3 (One option included)

Design and conduct a scientific investigation related to biodiversity, environmental management, climate change and/or energy use, and present an aim, methodology and method, results, discussion and a conclusion in a scientific poster.
These packages are provided to schools giving teachers a degree of flexibility in the assessment tasks they set for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.
*Unit 3 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 6, 2025 and Unit 4 will be released on May 29, 2025. Orders made in advance are welcome.
