Our Mathematical Methods trial examination papers are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors covering all of the requirements and specifications of the Mathematical Methods study design. These papers are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. Both examination one and two papers are available for Units 1 and 2.
Students are not permitted to order these papers.
The Mathematical Methods trial examination papers are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only. Schools are welcome to upload these trial examination papers on the school's intranet.
Students require a great deal of practice in order to maximise their potential in an examination situation. TSSM's Unit 1 and 2 trial papers allow students to gain valuable skills before beginning their Unit 3 and 4 studies.
All TSSM trial examination papers in Mathematical Methods are available by the end of term one, allowing schools to use them as revision for students in preparation for both mid-year and end-of-year examinations. Schools will have no concerns about examination papers not being available by the dates set for their practice examinations.
This year we have prepared four trial examination papers for Unit 1 and 2 Mathematical Methods; two for Unit 1 (one technology free paper and one technology enabled paper); and two for Unit 2 (one technology free paper and one technology enabled paper), with full solutions provided for all questions. These papers are designed according to the official Unit 3 and 4 Mathematical Methods examination. In particular the second (technology enabled) papers are prepared according to the specifications official VCAA papers, featuring both multiple choice and longer questions.
*Trial examination papers are delivered within 5 working days of the order upon release on April 22, 2025.
