Teaching Philosophy:
Claire believes that exemplary instructional practice incorporates a deep and expert knowledge of the curriculum, expertise in pedagogical implementation and the leadership to share and model best practice.
Claire believes that leadership of excellent teaching can be most effective when teachers are motivated to work together and learn from each other. Through collective efficacy, educators have the power to create dramatic improvements in student learning growth and wellbeing, and to increase achievement for all students.
Claire believes that high quality practice and pedagogy embraces and empowers students as learners and is continually responsive to their needs. When student voices are amplified, we actively engage students to take responsibility for their own learning journeys and charge their intrinsic motivation to learn.
Claire believes that as teachers and leaders hold a position of trust, it is incumbent for leaders to uphold, reflect and model the values of integrity, responsiveness, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and a commitment to human rights in the classroom and in the school community.
