Role at TSSM:

Since starting with TSSM in 2023, Mike has been an integral member of the Media team.

Unlike many Media colleagues, Mike has had extensive experience in the real world of film and television which has included working on commercial feature films such as the Lord of the Rings, King Kong and Water Horse. This unique experience enables MIke to be a more practical teacher of the subject and provides students with insights that they would not normally see.

Mike is a brilliant teacher and communicator and has the ability and skill to be able to help students master their subject and thoroughly prepare for the examinations.

Mike's role at TSSM is driven by his passion for all things Media. He is an experienced VCE Media and Drama and Theatre Studies teacher.

Mike is an extremely effective writer who loves to prepare high quality VCE resources that are used by thousands of students and teachers alike.


Teaching Philosophy:

As a teacher, Mike believes in providing an atmosphere in which all students are enabled to drive their own learning and enquiry no matter what level of ability and skill they have.

Mike likes to bring his own professional experience of working within the film industry into the classroom to provide hi students with a realistic vision of what that entails.
